Your long-awaited holidays are here and it’s finally time to relax with our beloved dogs at the beach. After properly checked if our buddy meets the municipal regulation for dogs’ access to beaches, keep in mind a few tips that will make your holiday more pleasant.

If your dog’s breed loves swimming, like usually Labradors, Retrievers and Newfoundland do, the impact with water will be spontaneous. Though, for other breeds it may be different and they may not like it. We suggest trying to respect their time to get used to the water instead of forcing them into.

Swimming with our dog can be an amazing experience but we should take into consideration that they might inadvertently scratch us, that’s why we recommend to swim with a t-shirt or board-shorts in order not to get hurt. Keep your dog always closed and do not let him swimming away because, as a matter of pressure forces, the dog will tend to swim against the current and recover him may be very difficult.

Always pay attention to other bathers: our dog could confuse a snorkel for a stick, try to take the armbands from children and play with their games. Remember that not everyone loves dogs and their presence could be uncomfortable for someone.
